LIDA DISTRICT, 24 October (BelTA) – The Lithuanian company ARVI intends to take part in the reconstruction of the Belarus Hotel in Grodno, BelTA learned from ARVI Group Vice President Arunas Morozovas during the opening of the new factory Biovast in Lida District.
"Today I can say that negotiations are in progress. We are interested in the project but it is necessary to secure mutually beneficial terms of its implementation. Hospitality business boasts predictable but moderate profits. We would like to be confident about the effectiveness of future investments," said Arunas Morozovas.
In his words, ARVI has already evaluated the scale of the future reconstruction. "The hotel occupies a favorable location but it is totally outdated inside. Everything has to be changed. If we get involved, we will make a four-star hotel out of it. Now the hotel has 360 rooms but they are small. Their number has to be reduced roughly by half. Apart from the rooms we would like the hotel to have a spa center, a large conference hall, and a complex of recreation services," said the ARVI Group Vice President.
ARVI has been cooperating with the French group of companies Accor for many years. Accor operates a network of over 3,000 hotels. The most prominent brands include Sofitel, Ibis, and Mercure. The Belarus Hotel in Grodno is supposed to be remodeled to become a Mercure type hotel.
According to the ARVI Group Vice President, the reconstruction of the Belarus Hotel in Grodno will require at least ?8 million.
