All constructive ideas, initiatives garnered ahead of Belarusian People's Congress

MINSK, 2 February (BelTA) - All constructive ideas and initiatives put forward by the people have been accumulated in the preparation for the 6th Belarusian People's Congress, Belarus Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko told the media after the meeting with the Belarusian head of state on 2 February, BelTA has learned.

When asked how different the preparation for the forthcoming meeting was from the previous ones, Roman Golovchenko emphasized the length of the process. “The duration of this process (not organizational but substantive one) has been the distinctive feature of the forthcoming meeting,” he said.

According to him, the congress will take stock of the comprehensive process to discuss a number of current issues, problems and initiatives, which had begun at the dialogue platforms. “All constructive ideas of the people, sound initiatives aimed at creation have been accumulated during dialogue platforms, call-in sessions and messages sent to the parliament and the Belarusian People's Congress website. Thus we have collected the issues and proposals for the development of the country, which are of concern to different social groups of people,” said Roman Golovchenko.

Different assessments, proposals, and opinions were sounded during the preparations for the event. They were, according to the prime minister, “quite diversified”. “It is important that the people who participated in this process are those who wanted to be there, those who actually care about the future of our homeland, who see the areas for modernization, the development of the country. The main thing is that they are all charged up with a positive attitude. People have different points of view, but the ultimate goal is the same - to make our country better,” said the head of government.

According to him, the proposals of citizens have been thoroughly analyzed and accumulated to be included in the materials that are prepared for the meeting. They will be taken into account in the country's social and economic development program and will probably make the basis of the final documents of the Belarusian People's Congress.
